The Bose Corporation, a leading consumer electronics organisation, has announced world number one Rory McIlroy has signed a multi-year agreement with the company.
McIlroy, 23, will become the Global Brand Ambassador for the company's headphones, portable speakers, home and automative systems.
"Rory is a once-in-a-generation athlete," said Bob Maresca, president of Bose Corporation.
"Just like his millions of fans around the world, we're amazed by his talent and passion.
"We know a lot goes into him game, even when he's off the course. He loves music, just like we do, and we're thrilled to be a part of how he competes and relaxes."
As part of the endorsement - McIlroy's first with a consumer electronics brand - the Ulsterman will only represent the Bose products he uses.
"I'm a huge headphone guy," he said. "And Bose headphones are the best I've found.
