Four new Titleist golf balls - the NXT Tour, NXT Tour S, DT SoLo and Velocity - have been added to the 2013 Pro V1 and Pro V1x to complete Titleist's 2014 golf ball line-up.

Titleist's 2014 NXT Tour, NXT Tour S, Velocity and DT Solo golf balls have all been revamped with innovative core, cover and aerodynamic technologies.

Every new ball is precision engineered by Titleist golf ball research and development associates and manufactured in the company's own facilities.

The 2014 NXT Tour and 2014 NXT Tour S have both been improved with a new softer-compression core and cover, which provides softer feel and improved short game performance.

Only the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls produce greater control and distance.

The new Titleist 2014 Velocity golf ball possesses a reformulated propriety LSX core that creates a high ball speed for improved distance.

A new spherically-tiled 328 tetrahedral dimple deign produces a more penetrating trajectory and a shallower angle of descent for increased roll.

The 2014 Titleist DT SoLo combines soft feel and increased distance, which combine to create the best DT SoLo model to date.

The 2014 model features a 376 tetrahedral dimple pattern that aids both driver and iron distance, while maintaining the soft feel and consistency associated with a Titleist DT SoLo.

"When we make an improvement to Titleist golf balls, we it's in direct response to what golfers tell us they need and want," said Bill Morgan, Senior Vice President of Titleist golf balls R&D.

"We're constantly in the field talking with golfers, capturing their launch conditions on all types of shots and observing different golf balls perform for their game.

"All of this information feeds the product development process and allows us to focus our design efforts and ultimately our prototype testing in ways that will enhance performance for these golfer."

More than 40,000 golfers took part in the testing and validation process for the 2014 NXT Tour, NXT Tour S, Velocity and DT SoLo golf balls.

Titleist's 2014 golf balls models will be in-store from February 2014 with the following RRPs:

Titleist NXT Tour 2014 golf balls: £34 per dozen Titleist NXT Tour S 2014 golf balls: £34 per dozen Titleist Velocity 2014 golf balls: £25 per dozen Titleist DT Solo 2014 golf balls: £18 per dozen
