1. Fleetwood was born on January 19, 1991 in Southport, England.
2. His middle name is Paul.
3. He and his father Pete used to sneak onto Royal Birkdale when Tommy was a child, and he would go on to make the cut there at the 2017 Open Championship.
4. Fleetwood is a member at Formby Hall Golf Club.
5. Fleetwood enjoyed a distinguished amateur career and won the 2009 Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship as well as the English Amateur in 2010. Fleetwood was also runner up at a number of other prestigious amateur events.
6. Fleetwood reached World No.3 in the R&A's amateur golf ranking and World No.1 on the Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings.
