Rory McIlroy shot a final-round 71 to finish on 17-under-par and win the 143rd Open Championship title at Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
The Ulsterman recorded rounds of 66, 66, 68 and 71 to join Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only players to win three majors by the age of 25.
