Titleist launch 913 D2 and D3 drivers
Titleist has announced the launch of two new drivers the Titleist 913 D2 and D3, they promise greater speed and forgiveness
Titleist has announced the launch of two new drivers the Titleist 913 D2 and D3.
The second generation adjustable Titleist driver, the new 913 D2 and D3 drivers come with a promise of greater speed and forgiveness.
The 913 D2 and D3 both feature a new forged Titanium face insert that has been designed to effectively increase the size of the sweetspot.
Thicker in the centre, the insert tapers down towards the periphery to deliver greater ball speeds on strikes that are high and low as well as towards the heel and toe.
The 913 D2 is a lower-spinning driver than the previous 910 version, thanks to a deeper centre of gravity (achieved through a series of weight-saving measures).
This means that both the 460cc D2 head and the 445cc D3 will offer the same launch and spin conditions.
The choice for the consumer therefore will be between the larger, more forgiving head of the D2 and the more compact, workable design of the D3, as used by Rory McIlroy.

The five shafts chosen are: Mitsubishi Diamana Plus White, Mitsubishi Diamana Plus Blue, Mitsubishi Titleist Bassara W, Aldila RIP Phenom and the Aldila RIP Alpha. The recommended retail price for both the Titleist 913 D2 and D3 drivers will be £344.
