The German moved over to Tennessee to play college golf and has been based in the US ever since. Get to know him better with these 20 facts...
1. Stephan Jaeger was born on May 30th, 1989 in Eichenried, Germany
2. Jaeger started playing golf at age 10. His parents, Sophie and Klaus, and sister, Michaela, are avid golfers and would all play on family vacations.
3. As a kid, Jaeger played tennis, soccer, and street hockey. He still loves playing any sports, including volleyball and basketball.
4. He was raised in a small town near Munich, Germany, before moving to the United States to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
5. He posted four collegiate wins and would go on to turn professional in 2012. Some other honors he received at college were; 2012 first-team PING All-American, second-team Golfweek All-American, and a three-time Southern Conference Player of the Year.

6. Thanks to a consistent 2017 Korn Ferry Tour season, Jaeger earned a PGA Tour card for 2018 with his 5th-place standings on the money list.
7. At the 2016 Ellie Mae Classic, Jaeger shot a 12-under par 58 in the first round. He would go on to win the event by seven strokes, and it was his first win on the Web.com Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour). He set the 72-hole aggregate record with his 250 and tied the to-par record, at 30 under par
8. Jaeger has won six times on the Korn Ferry Tour, placing him tied-second on the all-time list.
9. His family remains in Germany and he still speaks German fluently.
10. According to his PGA Tour bio, Jaeger loves cars and racing. He has said he would be a rally car driver if he were not a golfer.
11. Jaeger plays a full bag of Ping clubs.
12. His career-best world ranking is 86th.
13. The strength of his game is short game. In the 2023 PGA Tour season he ranked 7th in Strokes Gained: Around the green.
14. Jaeger's caddie is Henry Diana, a veteran looper who has been on the bag of Bill Haas, Ben Crane, Charles Howell III and Tom Hoge.
15. He is yet to qualify for The Masters or The Open.
16. His best Major finish came at the 2020 US Open at Winged Foot, where he ended T34th.
17. He represented Germany at the 2016 World Cup of Golf alongside Alex Cejka.
18. He is married to his wife Shelby, who is a big University of Tennessee sports fan. The couple live in Chattanooga, Tennessee and have a son named Harrison. They also own a dog called Phil, with Phil often seen out supporting Stephan at tour events.

19. He added distance to his game and said it helped take him to the next level. "I just told Steve [his coach], I was one of the shortest and most crooked guys out here and I just kind of went, you know, like if I'm going to hit it in the rough, I might as well hit it far in the rough. So I ended up gaining a bunch of speed and hitting it straighter for some reason. That was a great kind of second tidbit to that. And ended up hitting more fairways and being straighter and being longer has really helped and kind of catapulted my game to the next level."
20. He averaged 297 yards off the tee for the 2023 PGA Tour season.
