Andalucia Masters golf betting guide

As the 2011 Andalucia Masters comes to Valderrama this week, the hot favourite is Spaniard Sergio Garcia.

After his fine display at the Castello Masters last week, where he decimated the field to win by 11 shots,

Ladbrokes have him at 6/1.

While it is certainly not beyond him to win back-to-back tournaments, 6/1 isn't the most appealing price. Having said that I certainly wouldn't discourage anyone wanting to back Sergio.

Looking at the field there are a number of the heavy hitters of the European Tour playing this week and it is hard to see a lesser known name taking the title at what is an incredibly challenging course.

Last year's winner Graeme McDowell is

priced at 16/1 along with Justin Rose, who has also won at Valderrama in the old Volvo Masters tournament. Rose is definitely one of the contenders that punters should have a closer look at this week.

Martin Kaymer is another man who can be incredibly dangerous on his day. The former world number one has shown an upturn in form of late and at

12/1 shows appeal for an outright win bet.

Thomas Bjorn has been in fine form this season and could claim his fourth victory of the season this week and at

20/1 is very tempting.

Sweden's Alexander Noren is priced at

25/1 as is definitely worth an each way bet. He has been in excellent form this season, and a third-place finish at last week's Castello Masters makes him a major player. Francesco Molinari shares the same price and is another who will take some stopping if he can gather momentum as the tournament progresses.

Elsewhere in the field George Coetzee is

33/1 and has shown good form of late to suggest another good week could be on the cards. 100/1 shot Ross McGowan will be looking to build on his eight place finish in the Castello Masters and could be worth an each way punt at that price.
