Bubba wins with G/FORE Gloves

For the final two rounds of The Northern Trust Open Bubba Watson wore a G/FORE  glove.

Bubba won the Tournament by one shot and used the G/FORE glove for the final two days.

The World Number four had recently signed a contract that he was going to wear the products from G/FORE but this was not due to happen until he played at the Masters in April.

The two-time Masters Champion enjoyed the appeal and look of the glove that he decided he wanted to wear one on both Saturday and Sunday of The Northern Trust Open which saw him race to victory, defeating fellow American Jason Kokrak and Australian Adam Scott.

Mossimo Giannulli who is the founder of billion dollar clothing company “Mossimo”, created the G/FORE range because he was tired and frustrated when he kept searching for colourful golf gloves.

G/FORE embodies a passion for golf, fashion and time and dedication to creating products of unmatched performance and unparalleled performance.

With Bubba not exactly being shy when it comes to colour it only seemed right that the deal was made. Watson stated: “It’s the best quality leather I’ve put on my hand.

It’s the fit, the feel and obviously Mossimo is a perfectionist with anything he does, whether it be a glove, a shoe, or clothing.”

Due to Watson’s “skinny hands” the glove was tailored specifically for him.

Its not only Bubba Watson who wears the G/FORE gloves, fellow American and nine-time major champion Tom Watson was memorably pictured at his farewell Open Championship at St Andrews last summer waving to his fans wearing a G/FORE glove.

Nicole Castrogiovanni G/FORE’s President said: “We look forward to enjoying a long and mutually successful relationship with one of golf’s most talented.”

G/FORE recently launched its first apparel range back in Autumn 2015 and are looking to follow up with a whole new range in the spring.
