Best Golf Belts 2026
The List
Sizes: Small - XXL
Colors: 5
+ Fashionable
+ Great quality
- Can be hard to find
This waxed cotton stretch belt brings a pop of color to your look and is finished with an oiled suede covered buckle, sleeve and tipping. I have the Black and Light grey option which I’ve found compliments most of the colors of shorts and trousers that are in my wardrobe.
The ultra stretch function of this belt gives a very comfortable adjustable fit, ideal or relaxing after indulging in that naughty club sandwich and chips post game. You may not have heard of Johnnie-O before, but we can attest the performance from this belt and the brand's apparel is excellent.
Sizes: 32-44
Colors: 3 (Khaki, Navy, Stone)
+ Premium materials
+ Adjustability
- Price will put some off
Braided belts have become all the rage of late and it isn’t hard to see why thanks to the adjustability and unique aesthetic. One such example we recently tested was the Waxed Braided Belt from Peter Millar. Available in three subtle and versatile colors, the belt feels like it is made from premium materials, specifically the leather trim elements and silver toned buckle. It can be adjusted easily but it is worth mentioning that we recommend going up one size from your normal waist size. We think it will go well with many outfits and I think it can be used off the course as well.
Sizes: S - XL (32" - 42")
Colors: 9+
+ Used by the Tour pros
+ Loads of colors
- Nike sizing can be tricky
The Nike Stretch Woven Golf Belt is incredibly stretchy for a comfortable fit on the course. Nike is worn by some of the biggest names in golf, including Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Brooks Koepka, with all three men opting to use this belt on a number of outfits in Majors and other Tour events.
What really sets this belt apart though are the number of colors it comes in. This means whatever color pant you go for, there will be a Nike belt to match it and it goes without saying that it will keep your trousers well fastened at your waist.
Sizes: One size fits most
Colors: 3
+ Lightweight and stretch
+ Feels well made
- Buckle might be seen as a little basic
The FootJoy Essential Belt is, well, your essential go-to golf belt. It does a great job of keeping your shorts or pants up and shirt tucked in without feeling restrictive in any way. The braided webbing means you can adjust your buckle to any size you want rather than being restricted by specific buckle holes, whilst the leather tipping adds a premium touch. In fact I would go a step further and say the overall quality of this belt is right up there with the top models in this guide.
For those who want a bit of flash from their belt, I’d look elsewhere, for FootJoy have designed this for pure performance rather than an eye-catching, compliment-inducing belt buckle we see in some high-end club pro shops.
Sizes: S-XL

+ Woven design ensures the perfect fit every time
+ Versatile on and off course
- Many prefer traditional leather
When you slide the TravisMathew Voodoo 2.0 Stretch Woven Belt through your belt loops and you’ll quickly notice the flexible, comfortable stretch of the woven construction, designed to accommodate not only the golf swing, but also the clubhouse buffet! It may not provide the precise micro-adjustability of a track belt, but the woven design ensures a perfect, hole-free fit every time you wear it. I really liked the sleek, braided aesthetic, ensuring excess bulk didn’t intrude on my golf swing, and the smart, versatile styling ensures it can be worn easily away from the course. For convenience, the robust buckle closure is quick and easy to operate. This belt is perfect for the golfer who values comfort and stability, ensuring your pants stay put through even your most aggressive tee shots.
Sizes: S-XXL
Colors: Five
+ Innovative leather-nylon design
+ Metal G FORE logo is classy
- Not as adjustable as other models
The G/FORE Circle G’s belt is a masterclass in blending high-fashion aesthetics with on-course functionality. Crafted from premium, pebble tour grade leather, it offers a luxurious feel and exceptional durability. The center-piece is the bold, tonal Circle G’s logo buckle, which provides a modern, streetwear-inspired edge that sets it apart from traditional golf accessories.
Designed for the style-conscious golfer, this belt transitions seamlessly from the fairway to the clubhouse. Available in a variety of vibrant and classic colorways, it features a standard width that fits most pant loops, ensuring a secure, sophisticated fit that complements any modern golf silhouette.
Sizes: S-XL

+ Super easy to find perfect fit
+ Very smart
- Material not hard wearing
One of the better models out there, ideal for those golfers who don’t like cut-to-fit belts and/or awkward/obtrusive buckles. It’s smart, functional, and easier to operate than some of those kinds, which can be a little fiddly. There’s no need to go looking for a hole - just poke through when you’ve found your perfect fit (ideal if your waistline fluctuates). It sits in that mid price point, not uber premium, but the split leather trims and shiny metal buckle are quality touches. Looking to make a statement? Go for the Ultra Blue. A couple of minor negatives: don’t be rough when pulling it on, as the material can catch around the edges; and you may wish to consider snipping off the Ping label (carefully) which has been put in an awkward spot.
Sizes: One size

+ Stylish look
+ Precise, comfortable fit
- Adjustment system is a little fiddly
The Galvin Green Wilton is a premium golf belt that blends modern utility with timeless style. Its standout feature is the innovative track fit micro-adjustment system, which replaces traditional pin-holes for a more precise, secure fit that’s easy to tweak throughout your round.
Crafted from 100% durable nylon, the 120cm strap is designed to be reversible, offering two colorways (such as Navy/Ensign Blue or Black/Sharkskin) in one versatile accessory. The sleek metal buckle, often featuring a cutout logo, provides a polished finish. Practical and refined, the Wilton is the ultimate reliable finishing touch for any on-course ensemble.

+ Thicker than many similar products
+ Good choice of colours
- Possibly a little too chunky for some golfers
Reviewing a belt is not the easiest task for a writer; it’s a belt! Having said that, I have become a great fan of modern, stretchy golf belts where you can position the prong of the buckle exactly where you want it rather than be restricted to the specific eye-holes on the strap. And for me, this Mackenzie belt is an extremely good example. It is perfectly stretchy but not overly so, therefore retaining its purpose of keeping you comfortably tucked in.
It is thicker than most of my previous such belts, both from top to bottom giving it a touch more visibility, and in terms of thickness which gives you slightly more comfort and padding. The embossed belt loop is a nice touch. The Mackenzie may just be a belt, but it’s an excellent one that I will enjoy wearing with trousers and with shorts.
Sizes: S - XL (30" - 40")

+ Robust and Durable
+ Fits exactly with no holes
- Color effect not to everyone's taste
The Pueblo belt from Cuater by Travis Matthew is a robust and stylish accessory that will complement any golf look well. First thing to note is there are no belt holes to worry about. It’s a stretch woven fabric design and the buckle spike can punch through at any point to deliver the perfect fit.
As it’s a stretch fabric, there’s just enough give to deliver excellent comfort. It offers a sleek and contemporary look with black metal buckle and leather detailing, although the color effect won't be for all tastes.
Sizes: 2 (S-M or M-L)

+ Quality finish
+ Fashionable styling
- Only two sizes available
This highly durable braided belt from Puma will work wonders in your golf fashion rotation, combining a casual look with a classy finish through the premium colors and belt buckle.
Golf belts get a lot of stress with all the bending, pulling and rubbing we all do as golfers while swinging and walking, so this belt is a really good option for the avid golfer who wants a reliable belt to do them from summer to winter and beyond.
Sizes: S-XXL
Colors: 2
+ Removable buckle
+ Reversible strap
- Belt buckle a bit bland
If you want value for money, look no further than the reverse web belt from Adidas. This piece allows you to remove the belt buckle to add a different color to your waistline - and also provides excellent value for money.
It may not feel as premium as other options on this list but is near the top in terms of functionality. This belt is made with at least 50% recycled materials too, so you're helping the planet with you fashion decision if you decide to go down the Adidas route.

+ Stretchy belt should adjust to your waist
+ Good selection of colors
- Belt buckle displays large Under Armour logo
Under Armour state that the Drive silicone belt was designed for flexibility on the golf course, but they can see it joining into your daily rotation too.
For me, the logo on the belt is a little too big for me to wear this to the bar or a family event, for example, but the belt worked really good on the course. It passes the eye test, too, looking like a premium piece well color co-ordinated well with the rest of your outfit.

+ Stretch construction means wide fit range
+ Braided design means accurate fit
- White color can show marks
If the main job of a belt is to stop one’s trousers from falling down, then I’m happy to confirm that every pair of slacks I wore with Reebok’s Braided Golf Belt stayed up. Lame intro aside, the Reebok belt really does work as you’d expect. There is a decent amount of stretch built into the braided design, so the one-size-fits all belt should be suitable for wide range of girths.
I’m a sturdy 36-inch waist and had no trouble getting a secure fit. The buckle simply slips through the braids – no holes required – so it’s highly adjustable. I also like that the white colour adds a bit of pop when you’re wearing darker trousers and shirts, although i will be interested to see how clean I can keep it.

+ Decent level of stretchiness
+ It’ll fit a range of waist sizes
- It might not fit inside your belt loops
Stromberg’s braided golf belt is pretty similar to the Reebok braided belt I’ve also worn this year – it’s a stretchy, elastic feeling number with a metal buckle and leather accents. It isn’t the same belt, though, as it’s wider than the Reebok. And this width is a down-side, as – first world problem alert – it means that I struggle to thread my smart peacoat colored (blue, basically) through the loops on some of my golf slacks.
Somewhat frustratingly, Stromberg’s own Hampton trousers are among the pairs that the Stromberg belt doesn’t work seamlessly with. Once successfully fitted you are at least guaranteed a secure fit.
How we test golf equipment
When it comes to testing golf belts our comprehensive methodology revolves around, as you would expect, playing a lot of golf. We feel putting golf products to the test on the golf course, on the range and in practice is the best way to find out how usable and well-designed some belts are.
On that note, we feel it is particularly important to use all golf belts in different conditions, on the course or in practice to ascertain how each performs. We also looked to use belts off the course as well to see how versatile they were in social situations or when wearing them to work. Importantly, every member of the Golf Monthly team is a regular golfer so we put golf belts to the test over a number of rounds. The final point we should mention is no manufacturer can buy a good review. This is because our testing team tells it how it is and we seek to be as insightful and honest as possible.
How to choose a golf belt
While you might think golf belts are some of the more simple pieces of golf apparel on the market, there are a variety of things to consider and bear in mind when purchasing your next golf belt. To help you make the most informed choice possible, we've set out below a list of considerations you need to keep in mind when picking your next golf belt.
Material
The first thing you should consider is what do you want the belt to be made out of? No longer are belts just made out of leather these days as nylons, polyesters and other materials and fabrics are used. Each of them create a unique fit, feel and look so knowing what material you want will help narrow down your search.
Size
Importantly most of the models above are one size fits all but sometimes brands adopt more specific sizing measurements so this is definitely something to be aware of.
Comfort
Because a comfortable belt is a good belt, right? On the course, you're going to want to be as comfortable as possible to ensure you're able to focus on playing your best golf. For that reason, look for a belt that combines the right material, size, flex and stretch to allow you to hit good shots and stay relaxed.
Colors
As you can see from the key info sections on a lot of the models above, you can now get a golf belt in pretty much any color so it is a case of a) picking one you like the look of, and b) making sure the color will suit the pants and shorts you use for golf. Do not pick a color that only works with one outfit because you want to get more for your money here.
Budget
Finally, be aware of how much you want to spend on a belt. If you want to go for a premium design, there are models from J Lindeberg and G/FORE which have got you covered. Whereas if you want a more value-conscious option, then there are models like the one from Inesis too.
While having a golf belt is very important, so too is having a good pair of golf shoes that match your belt. For that reason, take a look at our guides on the best golf sneakers, best waterproof golf shoes and best spiked golf shoes.
FAQs
Do I have to wear a golf belt?
No, you don't have to wear a golf belt. But it is advisable to do so for multiple reasons. The first is that golf belts can make your outfit much smarter. They can also improve how you play by delivering good comfort and can ensure that your trousers do not fall down when on the course.
What is the purpose of a golf belt?
Regardless of your golfing style when it comes to pants, trousers or shorts, a good belt remains an important part of your golf outfit. This not just because they are functional and help keep your pants and polo in place, but a belt can also elevate a golf outfit by looking more classy or with a touch of flair.
What color should your golf belt be?
The simple answer here is whatever color belt you are comfortable wearing. There are people who say don't put those colors together and other such rules but if you want to wear a traditional black or brown belt, you should. The same can be said for those who want to wear a belt to stand out. Whatever you want to wear, do so as this is entirely up to different people. If it was up to us, we always try and get out belt to match or suit the pants or shorts we are wearing on the day.
