Hazeltine National Golf Club Course Guide: Hole 17
The par 3 seventeenth isn't long in length but water very much comes into play

A guide to the seventeenth hole at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota ahead of the 41st Ryder Cup from 30th Sept - 2nd October
Hazeltine National Golf Club Course Guide: Hole 17
Hole 17 - Par 3 - 176 yards
This hole spells both drama and disaster. The par 3 17th, with water short and right, is absolutely perfect for the Ryder Cup.
If you aren't quite feeling it here, you will be found out.
Anything pushed will be swimming, whilst anything short may also run down into the water.
Three large bunkers on the left will see plenty of action but that leaves a sand shot with little room for error.

The safe play is to the heart of the green but that's much easier said than done. We'll see birdies and we'll see double-bogeys here.
Great hole.
