With the Presidents Cup taking place at Charlotte’s Quail Hollow Club in September, this year’s Wells Fargo Championship has moved to TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm.

There are some high-quality players in attendance this week, chief among which is defending champion Rory McIlroy. He has the course record of 61 and he will be hoping his past success and Masters performance will spur him on to victory.

In terms of other big players Sergio Garcia, Tyrrell Hatton, Marc Leishman, Abraham Ancer and Patrick Reed are all down to compete too.

Recent Wells Fargo Championship winners teeing it up include Max Homa (2019), Jason Day (2018), Brian Harman (2017), James Hahn (2016) and Rickie Fowler (2012).

Given the quality of the field, and the tournament's propensity to lead to a tight finish, we could be in for a very exciting week indeed.
