Golfers can choose from four lofts (-1 to +2) and two different lies (D for 'draw' and N for 'neutral'), which combine to give players eight unique driver combinations.

What's more, these changes can be achieved without having to rotate the shaft on its axes between settings.

The Callaway Big Bertha driver will be available from February 14 at a RRP of £349.

Big Bertha Alpha:

The Callaway Big Bertha Alpha is the first driver to enable independent adjustments of four performance characteristics - loft, lie, GC (draw) bias and CG height.

As well as the hyper speed face and advanced adjustable hosel, the Alpha comes with CG bias and gravity control adjustability.

The driver's new gravity core enables golfers to adjust spin independently of launch angle to help find optimal distance for a wide range of players' abilities.

The gravity core comes in the form of a carbon tube that connects the crown and sole. It has a tungsten end (10.5g) and a glass fibre reinforced body (1.5g).

It can be inserted into the driver in two different ways to change the vertical centre of gravity and alter spin rates.

In terms of GC bias, the Big Bertha Alpha has a screw port in the heel and toe, which comes with four interchangeable weights for flexibility in both shot shape and head weight.

Callaway's Big Bertha Alpha will also be available from February 14 at a recommended price of £399.
