Conquer The Cold - This Perfect Winter Golf Outfit Is On Sale At PGA TOUR Superstore
Winter golf requires a bit more planning in terms of what we wear on the course to keep us warm - these sale pieces from PGA TOUR Superstore will help you do that.
Some players simply hand up their golf clubs during the winter, allowing them to gather dust instead of braving the cold weather - fair enough, I say. Winter golf isn't for everyone simply because it requires a lot more effort in terms of dressing correctly. Instead of simply pulling on a polo shirt and a pair of shorts, we sometimes need anywhere between three and five layers on to keep us warm, depending where you live, of course.
I played this past Sunday and found myself frozen by the third hole, so I thought I'd have a search to see what winter clothing I can get on offer from PGA TOUR Superstore so I can be less frigid this coming weekend.
So what do we need for a good winter golf outfit? Well, we need one of the best golf rain jackets, rain pants, a trusty golf hoodie and a pair of one of the best spiked golf shoes for grip. Below I've picked my favorite pieces, but there's plenty more to choose from over on the PGA TOUR Superstore website. So, without further ado...
There's nothing special here - I've just picked a shirt from a brand responsible for some of the best golf polo shirts. Nike's Dri-Fit range is top quality and trusted by dozens of players on the PGA and LPGA Tours including Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda.
What I love about this Johnnie-O hoodie is that it's a hoodie, but also a quarter zip! It's moisture-wicking and provides great stretch throughout your golf swing. Wearing a hoodie during winter golf also allows you a hood to pull up over your head if it gets particularly cold out there.
There's a big saving available for a rain jacket that we awarded a 5 star out of 5 review a few years ago. It looks fantastic and can be used anywhere, has a lightweight feel, but most importantly protects in the rain with a sublime hood addition.

Getting a good-fitting, reliable pair of wet pants is crucial for the winter. Even if it isn't raining, I tend to wear my wet pants during rounds as they keep my trouser legs dry from the (likely) wet ground whilst also providing an extra layer on my lower half for heat.
The Tour 360s are one of the best golf shoes money can buy. The spiked outsole means there aren't many shoes on the market that provide more traction and durability, meaning they're perfect for the softer, wetter winter conditions on the course but can also be relied on for year-round performance.

Having a trusty winter hat is an absolute must for cold weather golf. This Cloud Waffle Beanie from Travis Mathew is perfect for this - it's got a sizable discount, is available in a lovely plum color and is fashionable to be worn both on and off the golf course.
Now this one is technically cheating as it isn't on sale, but the StaDry Hand Warmer from Titleist is a must for any dedicated winter golfer. I've relied on this for over two years now, simply clipping it around my waist and sliding my hands into it between shots - it also makes me feel like prime Aaron Rodgers playing in a cold playoff game at Lambeau Field in late January, a niche but accurate comparison.

Conor joined Golf Monthly in late 2024 after graduating with a Masters degree in Sports Journalism from St Mary's University and heads up reviews for rangefinders, GPS and golf watches. Conor is lucky to have Royal County Down as his home golf course, beginning to play the game at the age of four, later becoming a caddy at RCD at just eleven years old and doing so for over 12 years. Playing to a 5 handicap, you’ll likely find him on the range trying (and failing) to hit a Shane Lowry-esque stinger that helped him win The Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
