Rory McIlroy is chasing history. Having claimed the DP World Tour Race to Dubai title four years in a row and seven times overall, he is now just one win away from Colin Montgomerie’s record of eight. However, longtime rival Patrick Reed, who currently leads the DP World Tour, stands in his way.

With four tournaments left, golf's biggest rivalry is set for a showdown finish to the season, starting with this week's DP World India. The McIlroy-Reed rivalry stretches back a decade to their infamous 2016 Ryder Cup singles match, their 2018 Masters clash, and their stances on opposite sides of the LIV Golf-PGA Tour debate.

The only way to guarantee uninterrupted viewing of the latest instalment of McIlroy vs Reed is to use a VPN. It lets you stream your usual subscribed golf coverage from anywhere while keeping your online connection secure and private.

Surfshark VPN has dropped a fantastic Black Friday deal on its One Plan, and you can get a massive 84% off, plus three months free. It basically costs less than your morning coffee, at just $2.49 per month, and is one of the best VPN deals we've seen.

A VPN is a solution to geo-blocking when it comes to viewing your usual golfing streaming services. Assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs, you can use a VPN to unblock the streaming services you're subscribed to and allow for uninterrupted viewing from any location.

Surfshark comes recommended by our colleagues at Tech Radar, and they chose Surfshark as their best cheap VPN, stating it "packs a ton of value into minuscule prices, offering a comprehensive set of privacy features and reliable unblocking power." Prices which are now even better with these VPN deals.

Following the final two events of the regular season, the DP World India Championship and the Genesis Championship in South Korea (22-25 October), the stars head to Abu Dhabi for the two-week playoff finale.

Beginning with the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship (5-8 November), the season-long race culminates at the DP World Tour Championship (12-15 November) at the now iconic Jumeriah Golf Estates in Dubai.
