The TP Tour Series finished its season off with a bang, closing the 2012 season with three events from October 26 to October 31.
During the first event at Brocket Hall Golf Club's Palmerston Course on the October 26, home professional Tom Shadbolt took advantage of his knowledge of course by posting a round of seven-under-par 66.
Leading throughout most of the day, Shadbolt was matched late in the day by former world top 175 golfer, Daniel Gaunt. The Australian made eight birdies during his round of 66.
After two playoff holes, the pair was still tied. It was the third playoff hole, the par-5 18th, that finally decided a winner as Shadbolt missed a 3-foot putt to hand Gaunt the win and the £2,000 first prize.
Leaders from Brocket Hall:
1. Daniel Gaunt 66 [Won Playoff] 2. Tom Shadbolt 66 3. Nick Pateman 69 3. Billy Hemstock 69 5. Richard Edginton 70
The second event of the week, the Grand Tour Final, took place at The Berkshire Golf Club on October 30. At stake was a £3,000 first prize.
Berkshire's Red Course was playing beautifully all day as 25 players broke par.
Last year's TP Final winner, Iain Pyman, shot a 66, tying him with Tom Shadbolt and Guy Woodman. Woodman needed only 30 strokes over the back nine.
However, the aformentioned three players lost out to David Griffiths of Sea Isand/West Herts, who shot a closing 65, including a birdie on the final hole, to secure his second TP Tour win of the year.
Leaders from Berkshire:
1. David Giffiths 65 2. Iain Pyman 66 2. Guy Woodman 66 2. Tom Shadbolt 66 3. Jason Branes 67
The Moor Park Pro Am on October 31 was the tour's last event of the season.

A high-class list of professionals took part, including European Tour players Phil Golding, Gary Boyd, Andrew Marshall and Sam Little, with Ryder Cup legend Paul Way leading the homage to Seve with a speech at the prize presentations.
Tom Shadbolt won the pro individual round with a four-under-par 68.
