LIV Golf League wildcard, Anthony Kim is set to make his first start in more than two months this week at the Asian Tour's International Series Qatar.
Kim has not played competitively since the season-ending LIV Golf Individual Championship in Chicago between September 13-15 - the end of his first term back in pro golf after 12 years away.
But, as the race for the Asian Tour Order of Merit and International Series title heads towards its conclusion, Kim will tee it up at Doha Golf Club alongside 17 other LIV golfers from the 2024 season and a handful more with previous links to the 54-hole circuit.
With uncertainty over the American's future continuing, Kim has received an invite to the penultimate Asian Tour event of 2024 - alongside fellow LIV players, Brendan Steele, Sam Horsfield, and Thomas Pieters - and will continue to fine-tune his game in a competitive environment.
This will not be Kim's Asian Tour debut, however, as a matter of weeks after the 39-year-old brought his lengthy absence from the game to an end in February, he competed in the International Series Macau but missed the cut by eight strokes after shooting 74 and 70.

That start was his third of the season, following on from his LIV Golf debut in Jeddah and a subsequent appearance at LIV Golf Hong Kong.
Although the Californian's early form was a long way from being truly competitive, it did steadily improve as the LIV Golf League progressed, and Kim managed to record a season-best finish of 36th at LIV Golf Greenbrier in August. Despite that, he ended the term in 56th position out of 57 players but still earned almost $1 million.
While his status with LIV moving forward is yet to be clarified, fans could reasonably expect Kim to return to the PIF-backed League in 2025 either as a wildcard or as a full-time signing.
Meanwhile, recent Asian Tour winner Patrick Reed, Louis Oosthuizen, and Charl Schwartzel will make up three more of LIV's sizeable contingent at the International Series Qatar.
144 golfers will go to work in Doha, competing for the lion's share of a $2.5 million total prize purse and those all-important points.

Many of the non-LIV players involved will be desperate to do well in Qatar as the winner of the International Series Rankings will earn a spot in the 54-hole league next season.
American John Catlin currently leads the way over New Zealander Ben Campbell but only has a small advantage with two more tournaments to go.
