Nick Watney signs with Nike Golf
World number 20 Nick Watney has signed for Nike Golf on a multi-year deal, his first manufacturing change in ten years as a touring professional
Nike Golf has announced Nick Watney has joined its Nike Golf Tour Staff in a multi-year deal ahead of the start of the 2013 PGA Tour season.
Watney will employ Nike Golf clubs, balls, footwear, gloves, apparel, headwear and accessories, and will make his Nike debut using the VR_S Covert, the world's first high speed cavity back driver.
He will supplement the VR_S woods with Nike VR Pro Combo irons, Nike VR Pro wedges and and a Nike Method Prototype putter.
Watney will play with the 20XI golf ball - which features more RZN technology - wear apparel from Nike's Tour Performance Collection and sport Nike Lunar Control II footwear.

"I am proud to wear the swoosh because it's the symbol of excellence across all sports and golf is no exception."
The Las Vegas native, who is currently 20th in the Official World Golf Ranking, is making his first manufacturing change in his 10-year career as a tour professional.

Nick Bonfield joined Golf Monthly in 2012 after graduating from Exeter University and earning an NCTJ-accredited journalism diploma from News Associates in Wimbledon. He is responsible for managing production of the magazine, sub-editing, writing, commissioning and coordinating all features across print and online.
