Best short sleeve
Sizes: XS-2XL
Colors: 5 - Enamel Blue, Purple Crest, Midnight Navy, White, Black
Materials: 80% Cotton, 20% Polyester
+ Although fitted it doesn’t cling
+ Controls sweat and odour for a fresh feel all the way round
- Felt slightly short in the body
This is a very comfortable and airy top to wear, especially as it’s a fairly fitted polo shirt. It doesn’t cling at all which I find amazing. This is thanks to UA Helix Technology which works with your body to wick sweat, accelerate dry time & encourage airflow. Making this is the shirt of choice for anyone who gets a bit of a sweat on during golf. It boasts great odour control.
It looks fantastic too, a fairly short body (which made me want a few extra cms as I finished my golf swing) but long enough to be able to tuck into a mid to high waisted skort. Really beautiful detailing including pearlized buttons makes this sporty yet feminine. The colour choices are fresh and pretty, combined with athletic performance you have a winning shirt here.
Sizes: XS-2XL
Colors: 1 - Black Iris
Fabric: 55% cotton 45% viscose
+ High quality feel and finishing touches
+ A great option for cooler days
- More suited to cooler days due to thick material
This cotton mix polo is made of kitten soft material and feels more like a sweater than a polo shirt. The ribbed collar sets off a stunning botanical navy print with thick navy ribbed hem. The matching sleeves are longer than a normal polo making this the perfect shirt for a cooler day.
The fit is loose yet flattering and the fabric doesn't cling, hanging elegantly. Ideally worn with fitted bottom half. The 5 pearlescent buttons on the neck each have a gold edge and gold miniature "Pete the Penguin" logo. A beautiful finishing touch to what is a classy polo.
This is one of my favourite recent pieces from any brand for its individuality. A striking top that will look gorgeous whether paired with shorts on the course or skinny jeans and stilettos.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 1 - Blue Starling
Materials: 92% polyester, 8% Spandex
+ Traditional look with modern performance
+ Fit is classic and flattering
- Need other color options
This is a traditional looking polo shirt but with faultless performance. The technology that has gone into this smart shirt is brilliant. The breathability and lightweight characteristics makes it perform like a gym top! Yet looks wise it is a classy collared polo shirt. So many shirts are too short these days but I’d say that this one is more generous in length, this will go down well with many female golfers I know. It can be worn tucked in or left out, looks great both ways.
The touches on this shirt like the pearlescent logo buttons and the delicate pattern make it a big favourite of mine. Functional yet feminine you'll find yourself wearing this over and over again. It wicks moisture and dries fast so complimenting the wearability, a quick wash after a round and you'll be in the same outfit the day after with no problems.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 3
Fabric: 89% Recycled Polyester, 11% Elastane
+ Flattering jigsaw camouflage pattern
+ Stretchy and light material helps you freewheel to your finish
- Extensive washing instructions. You need to remember not to use fabric conditioner with this beauty.
The pattern on this shirt is fun and almost Escher-esque. Like a jigsaw camouflage. I feel if you look carefully geometric lizards will appear, I love this. The fit is relaxed and I found especially comfortable to wear, it looks great over leggings and tighter fitting shorts. A matching skort would be great with this, the pattern would make such a fun golf dress. The available colours are beautiful and there’s something I think for everyone here. They range from bold and bright citrus “Pure Sulfur” to the subtle and elusive sage green “Wonder Silver”.
Sizes: XS-2XL
Colors: 2 - Crystal Blue/White, Navy/White, Pink/White
Materials: 88% Polyester, 12% Elastane
+ Breathable quick-drying material keeps you cool
+ Stand up collar adds a sporty touch
- Feels cold to touch
This shirt feels every bit the sporty top that you really cannot fault. It looks great on and offers breathability, amazing stretch and comfort. Sleek and stylish the Miley shirt matches beautifully with the Marielle skort with matching logo geometric pattern down the sleeves. It reminds me of a cycling top without quite as much cling, the neck zips up to a stand up collar that offers protection at the back against the sun’s rays. This shirt really does feel cool to touch, though not sure how I'd feel about that when the sun goes in. It feels like it would keep me just the right temperature but a midlayer would need to be on standby.
The color palette available is fairly muted and I’d love to see this top in some spicy shades.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 4 - Navy/Raspberry Mosaic, White/Tahiti Mosaic, Linen/Mosaic, Black/Linen Cheetah
Fabric: 88% Polyester/12% Elastane
+ Standout neckline
+ 4 prints to choose from
- Not a fan of prints
There’s a lot of detail to mention about this shirt, which is made in what feels like high-quality fabric in a silky-soft finish and with plenty of stretch for comfort. It has printed panels at the side and the same print on the inside of the stand-up collar, the cuffs and highlighting the zip, so it’s quite busy, but definitely eye-catching.
There’s a Glenmuir lady engraved logo sewn above the right hem and I always think that side slits always add to the feminine shape of a women’s golf shirt. What I like best about the side panels is that they offer a streamlined silhouette and if you pair this with the Emeli skort, this gives the impression of a dress, which looks great, and there are 4 prints to choose from.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: - 3 - Ice Coffee, Mint Jelly, Deep Navy
Fabric: 94% Polyester/6% Elastane
+ Extremely comfortable fabric
+ Striking all-over pattern
- Not for the pattern-averse
I love the fabric of this Puma polo shirt, it’s silky-velvety to touch and therefore very lightweight. I like that this pattern looks like animal print at first glance, but it's a pleasant surprise that it's not! It’s a regular fit, nice and roomy, so easy to wear with plenty of freedom when swinging a club. Plus the fabric has moisture-wicking properties and on a fairly warm day I stayed cool and comfortable. I chose to wear it untucked, but it’s a top that would look equally good if it was tucked in. With a four-button placket and side slits at the hem, the design of this polo shirt is pretty straightforward, but the quality of the fabric and eye-catching pattern takes it to a different level.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 3 - Forget-Me-Not, Flamingo Plume, Moonbeam
Fabric: 100% Polyester
+ Flattering styling
+ Easy-to-wear
- Fairly fitted shape might not suit everyone
This is the Forget-Me-Not color, which is a lovely shade of light blue, and the lightweight and stretchy fabric has an almost silky sheen for a luxurious look and feel. I really like the baseball collar with an open v-neck that has binding round the edge in a lighter color, and this is what makes this top unique.
There’s also a cut and sewn J.Lindeberg bridge on the back. As soon as I put it on, I liked the fit, as the detailing on the side panels helps to create a flattering shape, and with a side-slit hem and ideal length, I felt very comfortable wearing it loosely on the outside. I can’t fault the comfort, it will be a go-to this season. One thing to mention, I sized up with J.Lindeberg.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 6
Fabric: 44% Recycled Polyester/44% Spandex/12% Lycra
+ Featherlight softness
+ Effortlessly timeless appeal
- Avoid if a loose, relaxed fit isn't your style
I love the simplicity of this shirt, it’s a classic that I’d pair with navy or white bottoms for a crisp put-together style. The open V-neck collar and matching piping details on the sleeves really make it stand out. Most of today’s golf shirts are made in a lightweight stretch fabric, but this one is unique - featherlight and almost translucent when held up to the light. It also comes with UPF 50 sun protection. The other feature I really like is the distinctive curved hem and this adds to its relaxed shaping and comfortable fit. It shows minor creasing compared to heavier polyester shirts, a small price to pay for such an exceptionally fine, breathable material. With six colors to choose from, this is an elegantly casual, versatile staple for on and off the course.
Sizes: XS- XXL
Colors: 4
Fabric: 55% Nylon, 28% Polyester, 17% Spandex
+ Athletic fit
+ Ideal length
- The fabric is a bit see-through
If you like an athletic feeling shirt on the course, this is a winner. The material is stretchy, moisture-wicking, and form-fitting for ultimate swinging ability, but still has the classic white golf polo appeal. This shirt is well thought out with tiny mesh ventilation along the sides and down the back, which makes the fabric extra breathable for hot summer days, and we have a lot of those here in California.
I typically tuck my shirt in, and this polo was long enough that it stayed in place, as opposed to some shirts that need to be readjusted after swinging. I also appreciated the sleeves that are form fitted at the edge so they didn’t ride up. I chipped in for birdie while testing this shirt, so it might just be my new favorite.
Sizes: XS-2XL
Colors: 3 - Horizon Flower, Flora, Dusty Rose
Fabric: 95% nylon/5% spandex
+ Lovely textured fabric
+ Eye-catching details
- Flowery trim won’t appeal to everyone
I like the textured fabric of this polo shirt, it’s very tactile and feels great against your skin. I’m a fan of any shade of blue (horizon flower), but I also really like a blue and pale pink combo, so I was immediately attracted to the flowery trim around the turtle neck collar, placket and cuffs. There’s a skort in the same flowery pattern, so this makes for a very feminine outfit. It has a nicely shaped collar and I like the way the trim on the placket stands out, concealing the half zip almost completely if you zip up to the top. It’s fairly loose fitting, not the type of fabric that feels clingy and with technology to keep you dry and comfortable, this is a high performing top for summer golf.
Sizes: XS-2XL
Colors: 5 - White, Navy, Baltic Sea, Seaspray, Paradise Pink
Fabric: 45% polyester/26% Modal/25% Cotton/4% Elastane
+ Luxurious fabric
+ Ultra comfortable to wear
- Not if you prefer a patterned design
This is a timeless shirt that you’ll be able to pull out of the draw every year. What I noticed first was the fine fabric, it feels so light and cool to the touch. When you hold it up to the light, it’s almost translucent, but in a high-end way that makes you realise how light it will feel on an exceptionally hot day. I was therefore not surprised I found it really comfortable to wear.
It’s a straight cut with a 3-button placket, and with side slits at the hem, I didn’t tuck in, I liked the relaxed look. The tipped rib collar and cuffs and the pleat at the back create a feminine elegance to what would otherwise be a very plain shirt, and it’s finished with an embossed Ping logo on the back.
Sizes: XS-2XL
Colors: 9 - White, Black, Navy Blazer, Jade, Brunnera Blue, Cornflour Blue, Moonlight Blue, Persian Red, Red Violet.
Materials: 84% Polyamide 16% Elastane
+ Soft feel, high quality material
+ Great color options
- Short length body won’t suit everyone
This polo shirt feels like no other shirt I own. It is extremely silky and soft to touch. This is down to TM’s famous Moveknit fabric which wicks moisture and moves with you thanks to the elastane mix. The ribbed fabric is smart, fits in an athletic fashion and it boasts a beautiful centre back seam which creates great shape.
The sizing is snug so as with all Travis Mathew items I went up to a medium. By doing so the fit is perfect. The collar is soft and dives down to a lovely V-neckline, low enough to be fun but not too revealing.
This is a classy top that will look smart whether worn on the course or out to a bar. The important part is it performs playing golf and looks great, a winning combination for me.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 4 - Coral Whisper, Neptune’s Breath, Indian Dawn, Ocean Bloom
Fabric: 95% Nylon Pique/5% Spandex
+ Unique print and styling
+ Easy-wear comfort
- Pass if you prefer a subtle zipper
The gold zip immediately caught my eye against the white fabric. It comes with a signature star logo puller and extends nearly halfway down the front of the shirt. Gold might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it works really well with the cleverly disguised Indian Dawn print on the shoulders and neckline that features birds, monuments, trees, and even elephants!
There’s a choice of prints, and I must admit, they bring something a little different to the market. It’s a regular fit, fairly loose, no clinginess and it’s true to size. I wore the collar zipped up, but it’s great there’s the option to zip down and create a very different look, and to give your neck and body a chance to breathe! A statement shirt to brighten up the fairways.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 3 - Desert Peach/White, White/Glacial Blue, Navy/White
Fabric: ProDry technical knit with four-way stretch
+ V-neck stays modest while staying flattering
+ Sleeve length is well judged
- Not if you prefer all-over patterns or bolder prints
This polo was a real surprise hit for me. I love a V-neck top, but the genius of this one is that it stays modest when you lean over a putt and you get the flattering V-shape without the worry. The peach colorway with a little white detail at the hem is gorgeous, and the textured knit gives the polo a smarter, more elevated feel than your average performance shirt.
The fit is flattering through the body, and the sleeve length deserves a special mention. As someone petite, I often find short sleeves either too short or too long, but this lands at a really nice in-between length that feels both flattering and modern. I genuinely think this is a top you could wear off the course as well as on. With the sweet details I really enjoyed it’s polo I'll be reaching for repeatedly.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 1 - Willow
Fabric: 92% Polyester/8% Elastane
+ Seamless versatility
+ All-day cooling fabric
- Only one color option
If there was ever a polo shirt that could take you elegantly from the golf course to the office, this is it! The mix stripe provides a very smart look with lengthway stripes on one half and horizontal on the other, back and front. It’s the print combined with the 5-button placket and sharp collar that gives it a unique style - something we’ve come to expect from G/Fore.
I like the shape, it’s a bit boxy and very relaxed with a tennis tail hem, so easy to wear. I felt very comfortable when swinging a club. The jersey fabric is stretchy and soft and considering I wore this on an extremely hot day, it managed to keep me cool, plus I was protected with UPF 50+ protection.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 1
Fabric: 46% Nylon/38% Viscose/16% Polyester
+ Distinctive design
+ Soft and comfortable fabric
- Too hot for solo summer wear
Visually, the large woven pattern and colors of this top are some of the most striking I’ve seen this season. Granted, the bold design and bright colors won’t suit everyone, and they pushed me out of my comfort zone, but paired with the Saturday Pocket skort in the Azalea pink color, although I would describe it as a pinky-orange, it’s a stunning outfit. It’s a very relaxed fit and I like the ribbing detail around the collar, cuffs and wide waistband. An added detail is a logo patch on the left hip. The fabric is soft and comfortable, but this is a short-sleeved knit that you’d wear as a layer, not on its own on a warm day. One thing is for sure, it’s versatile enough for golf or casual wear.
Best sleeveless
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 14
Fabric: 95% Poly/5% Spandex
+ Choice of colors
+ Excellent shape
- Fitted style
For this sleeveless polo shirt, there’s an incredible 14 colors to choose from and 7 in the collection have a color contrasting zip, which in this case is white and does add a touch of flair to the v-neckline zipped placket.
I would say it’s true to size, there’s no gaping under the arms and the princess seam does contribute to its feminine shape. It’s fitted, but the hem flares slightly and I like this because it falls nicely over whatever you choose to wear on your bottom half, there’s no need to tuck it in, plus you can then show off Golftini’s logo, the pink Martini glass, which is bottom left. There’s enough stretch in the fabric for comfort and if you pair this with a skort or pants, you’ve got a go-to summer outfit.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 1 - Snow/Candy
Fabric: 94% Polyester/6% Spandex
+ Weightless and airy fabric
+ Unique and fun styling
- Only one color option
G/Fore totally nails that mix of high-end style and playful energy and this sleeveless top is no exception. A perfect example of how to make a plain white shirt feel like a statement piece. The ribbed collar is trimmed with four colors and a mix of these colors have been used for a variety of embroidered motifs on the front including, amongst others, a golf bag, a trophy and the iconic G/Fore skull and tees emblem. I’m not usually one for logos or motifs, but the tiny embroidery adds just enough personality to keep it interesting without being too in your face. The tech-pique fabric has that classic look but feels completely weightless and airy. It’s true to size and has a straight cut rather than a tight, fitted shape, which makes it really easy to move in.
Sizes: XXS-XXXL
Colors: 6 - Navy, Black, White, Beet Red, Cradle Pink, Skyway
Fabric: 86% Recycled Polyester
+ Comfortable stretch fabric gives swing freedom
+ Clever textured ventilation panels
- Figure hugging fit may not appeal to larger ladies
The Nicky Polo Shirt is a beautiful garment that will appeal to the stylish, sophisticated golfer who wants to look just as good on the course as they do off it in the clubhouse bar. It’s made from a sporty stretch fabric that fits snugly and has a flattering cut that will suit both being tucked into trousers or worn over skirts. The stretchy fabric makes it very comfortable to swing in. We particularly love the discrete textured panels under the arms and around the neckline. These really do improve ventilation, enabling greater airflow to these areas prone to perspiration to keep you cool and comfortable even on very hot days. A button up front further enhances airflow allowing you to improve comfort.
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 8
Fabric: 89% Polyamide/11% Spandex
+ Attractive design
+ Extremely comfortable
- Very fitted
The first thing I noticed about this sleeveless top is the high quality and stretchiness of the fabric, which also has UPF 50 sun protection, plus advanced anti-odor protection to keep you feeling fresh.
For me, the standout feature is the blade collar, as it sits really neatly around the neck and is complimented by the zip. I found that this top looks equally good with the zip up or down. You can easily miss the Bad Birdie embossed logo on the left chest, but this adds a nice touch. Thanks to the stretch, it’s easy to swing a club without feeling restricted. I also like the cut, it is very fitted, but it looks good tucked in or out. There are 8 colors to choose from and works brilliantly with Bad Birdie’s Down Pleated skort.
Sizes: XXS-XXXL
Colors: 4 - Plume/Ice, Pine Needle/Ice Green, Mauve Shadow, Cool Grey
Fabric: 92% polyester, 8% spandex
+ Fun and fashionable print
+ Cool and comfortable fabric
- Slim framed women may prefer a tighter more figure hugging fit
LevelWear are big in the American market and it’s no surprise. The quality and feel of the fabric of the Amy sleeveless polo shirt is sumptuous, silky to touch and lightweight to wear, making this an excellent warm weather garment. The fabric is moisture-wicking ensuring that perspiration is wicked away from the skin, keeping you really cool, even in hot climates. The breathable design is enhanced by the zip up front, allowing you to open up the shirt to improve ventilation.
The distinctive print pattern is fun and fashionable. You’ll certainly turn heads wearing this shirt. It also pairs really nicely with a plain white skort or trousers.
We particularly love how generous the fit is. It’s flattering and allows you to swing with total freedom.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 6 - Brilliant White, Fuchsia Purple, Blue Tattoo, Navy, Pastel Lilac, Salt Air
Fabric: 92% polyester, 8% elastane
+ Simple, versatile design
+ Lightweight ribbed material
- Plus size ladies may find it figure-hugging
Slip this sleeveless polo on and you'll instantly notice the premium feel of the moisture-wicking fabric as well as how lightweight the single knit ribbed material is. It is ideally suited to a warm, sunny day, protecting your skin from burning thanks to built-in UV block, while offering unrestricted swing fluidity. The tailored fit has stretch to improve swing freedom and this means excess material doesn't get in the way when you putt. The cut frames the torso beautifully, cleverly following your body contours and curves. However, this figure-hugging look may not be as flattering to plus size ladies.
The zip up front allows you to adjust ventilation, helping you stay cool and comfortable on a very hot day, while the high neckline covers up the back of your neck to prevent unwanted sun exposure.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Colors: 2 - Sands of Time, Tidal Wave
Fabric: 84% Polyester/16% Elastane
+ Incredibly soft and silky hand-feel
+ Easy to wear comfort
- Print-lovers only
The fabric of this top feels like silk, too nice to wear on the golf course! I really like the sweetheart collar in a sand color that stands alone from the vibrant all-over print, and a nice touch is the Pure Golf logo zip puller.
I noticed the finish around the armholes is very neat and even better, the armholes hugged my body in all the right places. It’s made in an anti-crease stretch fabric, so easy to wear and care for, and it also protects against the sun with UPF 50+. It’s a regular fit and static-resistant, so no clinging.
When I paired this with the Clarity skort in the same print, I was really happy with the look and comfort this flattering outfit provided.
Best long sleeve
Sizes: XS-XL
Colors: 1 - Twilight
Fabric: 72% Polyester/22% Pima Cotton/6% Elastane
+ Eye-catching styling
+ Impressive comfort
- Only one color option in this design
G/Fore apparel is easy to spot, it has an edge on the way it blends colors and patterns to stand out from the crowd. I love the pops of bright pink and white stripes on the ribbed collar, the zipper and the cuffs. The zip has a pink G/Fore logoed puller, and there’s a subtle embossed logo underneath the collar on the back. This is how to make a plain navy long sleeve shirt look a bit special.
It’s made in a fine stretch knit fabric, which is silky soft and has UPF 50+ protection and darts at the chest give it a tailored look. It felt free-flowing, so very comfortable and with side splits at the hem, it’s easy and neat to wear untucked. If I was nit-picking, I would like the cuffs to fit more tightly.
Sizes: XXS-XXL
Colors: 4
Fabric: 95% Polyester/5% Spandex
+ Cool and comfortable fabric
+ Eye-catching Garden print
- Neckline won’t suit everyone
This is definitely not a traditional looking golf top, but that’s what we expect from A.Putnam that produces golf lifestyle pieces. This long sleeve shirt is made in a very soft double mesh fabric, which feels soft against the skin. I like the Garden print, it’s fresh and works easily with skorts or trousers. The fit is relaxed and it falls nicely without clinging, although it looks just as good tucked in. It’s roomy, so if you prefer a fitted style, I suggest sizing down.
I wore this on a sunny day and given the long sleeves, I was surprised how I stayed cool throughout, even while walking the course. The fabric isn’t see-through, but best to wear a nude colored bra. It’s a piece you’ll want to keep in rotation, not just for golf but for any day.
Sizes: 6-20
Colors: 3 - Navy Multi, Eucalyptus Multi, Rose Multi
Fabric: 89% Polyester/11% Elastane
+ Standout colorways
+ Shapely cut
- Size down
It’s the unique and soft color that makes this long sleeve top stand out, a shade of green that I haven’t seen before and I really like it. From a distance, it looks plain, but it has a very subtle all-over print that adds to its overall elegant styling.
Made in a warm brushed-back fabric, it’s a comfortable base layer in cooler weather, plus I like the zipped neck, as you can regulate your temperature, as well as go for a different look, zipped up or down. When zipped up, the neck didn’t fit as snug as I would like, but that’s probably because I needed a smaller size and I’d recommend sizing down. That said, it’s a good cut with shaped side panels and the silver ping logo on the right sleeve is a nice touch.
Sizes: XS- XXL
Colors: 5
Fabric: 47% COOLMAX/53% Polyester
+ Breathable sun protection
+ Flattering fit
- Had to readjust tuck-in during round
I often golf in long sleeves for sun protection, so I was thrilled when I saw this light blue, long-sleeve polo. This shirt offers the best of both worlds: It’s UPF 50+, but is covered in a mesh subtle pattern that adds a nice detail to the shirt. Perfect for a spring day, it’s light enough to wear on its own, but also works well as a layer under a jacket or sweater. All the colors offered are light and neutral, and pair well with multiple bottoms, including off the course with jeans or shorts. It’s rare to find a sun protection shirt that is cute enough to wear to lunch! It’s feminine and flattering, but still feels relaxed and playable for easy swinging. Between the patterned mesh and the contrast of the light blue fabric with the white color, my golf group was complimenting me by the first tee. You can’t go wrong with this classy polo.
How we test golf clothing
Here at Golf Monthly, our testing for golf clothes is built upon a comprehensive process combined with the knowledge and expertise of the entire Golf Monthly test team, headed up by Katie Dawkins and Alison Root, who lead all female golf equipment reviews. As far as the specific procedure goes, prior to testing, the team will usually attend product launches and meet with the manufacturer's R&D experts to understand the new technology in each piece of clothing.
When it comes to testing golf clothes, we head out to the course to try the shirt over a number of rounds on the UK's best courses. We look to try to use each item in as many different conditions as possible to give us the best feel of how these shirts perform in sun, rain and snow. We think it is vitally important to do both and continue to test the shirts so they have been comprehensively put to the test in many different conditions. It should also be mentioned that manufacturers cannot pay for a good review and we make our conclusions from the testing and our experiences.
How to choose a golf shirt
There is a lot to consider when purchasing new golf shirts but we have some handy tips on several things you need to look out for to make sure you make the best purchase possible for you.
1. Size
The first thing to consider is the size and fit of the shirt that you're buying. Obviously, you don't want your clothes to be too tight as that will restrict your movement on the course preventing you from playing your best golf. Whatever type of shirt you're buying whether that's a long sleeve shirt or short sleeve shirt, pick a size that looks good, isn't too loose fitting, but also gives you a full range of movement.
2. Colors
As golf styling is becoming more modern, brands are designing clothes that have a wide variety of colors, designs and fabrics that suit every golfer. From bright colorways to traditional patterns, there are plenty of colors available to you, so pick the color shirt that you like the most.
3. Mobility
This is a vital consideration for any golfer as if you're constricted in your mobility then you're going to struggle to perform a full swing. Look for shirts that aren't too tight-fitting, but are also made of stretchy fabrics that can expand with your movements. One good thing to keep an eye out for is t-shirts that have panels on the sides that help you stretch up and down with the arc of your swing.
4. Breathability
Particularly if you're playing in warmer climates, having polos that are breathable and keep you feeling fresh and aerated on the course are important to helping you stay cool and play your best golf. There's nothing worse than being hot and uncomfortable during your round, so for that reason, look to buy clothes that can keep you cool on the course.
5. Durability
Golf polo shirts don't come cheap, so try to find the a shirt that is going to last. Look for quality materials that wont stain, tear or shrink easily.

FAQs
Why do golfers wear polo shirts?
Golf is a traditionalist sport and some traditions must be maintained, that includes certain dress codes. Wearing a collar maintains a smart look, a presentable image and is meant to create a sense of professionalism when playing.
Should I keep my polo shirt tucked in when playing golf?
Golfers don't always have to keep their shirts tucked in when playing golf. Some traditional courses demand that players keep their shirts tucked in when playing golf, but the majority of courses won't mind if you play with your shirt untucked. In some instances, untucking your shirt can also help improve your mobility and reach higher in your backswing.
Should I wear long sleeve polo shirts or short sleeve polo shirts?
Depending on the weather conditions you can wear either long or short sleeve polo shirts whenever you want. Long sleeve shirts are great if you're playing in either hot or cold weather as they can keep you warm but also keep the sun off your arms. But it may be more advisable to wear a short sleeve polo shirt when it gets hot on the course. Ultimately it is always down to your own personal preference.
