New championship course to open in Greece
Troon Golf to open Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Bay Course next month following the success of Bernhard Langer's Dunes Course
Troon Golf has announced the opening of a new championship golf course at Costa Navarino in Greece.
The Bay Course has been designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Jr and will open to the public next month.
Already established as one of the world's most exciting new golf destinations it follows on from the success of the Bernhard Langer designed Dunes Course.
Trent Jones Jr's design and the neighbouring Dunes Course will combine to create one of world golf's most sought after experiences.
Overlooking the historic bay of Navarino and the town of Pylos, The Bay Course has been laid out to make the most of the spectacular panoramic sea and mountain views.
It's proximity to the sea means several holes run close to the bay but as it moves inland it interchanges between canyons and olive groves.
Course management and accuracy are a must and the course offers a significant challenge to all levels of golfing ability.

Robert Trent Jones Jr said: "The Bay Course is sculpted out of the earth and rock of Greek soil, much like the marble statues of the ancients.
"Those deities were noble and graceful, and the golf course now reflects the same sense of beauty. This golf experience will lat the test of time, to beloved and enjoyed through all the sense by those who come to play the golf course."
