Merion hole-by-hole guide: 1st hole
A look at the course of the 2013 US Open, Merion in Pennsylvania

Merion Golf Club
1st - 355 yards, par 4
A short par 4, players will require little more than a long iron or fairway wood from the tee, leaving a wedge into this secluded green. A large sycamore tree prevents it being hit in one, but it remains a good birdie opportunity.
