Ping introduces Karsten irons/hybrids combo set
Ping has announced the launch of its game-improvement Karsten irons/hybrids combo set, which is designed for beginners and high-handicap golfers and forms part of the complete Ping i25 range.
The blended 17-4 stainless steel iron/hybrid set has distance and loft progressions custom-engineered into to help achieve high launch and greater length.
The irons are longer heel-to-toe with a CG that's very low and back, which optimises accuracy and distance.
The custom tuning port connects to the sole, reinforcing the thinner face to help improve the ball speed and consistency across the face.
Easy-to-hit hybrids replace long irons to provide proper distance gaps. The progressive CG locations generate a higher launch with appropriate spin.
The higher-lofted hybrids have a CG that's lower and more forwards to help reduce spin. The CG in the lower lofts is back to launch the ball high and extreme heel-and-toe weighting helps with more forgiveness and consistent impact.
