Callaway and Lamborghini form partnership
Callaway's new Diablo Octane Black driver contains the same new carbon fibre materials in the crown that are used in Lamborghini's Sesto Elemento

On Monday, Golf Monthly exclusively revealed details of the new Callaway Diablo Octane Black driver.
This week GM's Neil Tappin travelled to Paris for the Paris Motor Show to take a look at the new Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. However, Neil was not on a jolly, but there to find out more about Callaway's new Diablo Octane Black driver.
Callaway Golf and Lamborghini signed an agreement to work together after discovering that they were working on the same formula in developing advanced composites.
The new technology, which is called Forged Composite, is a third less dense than titanium, and means that the new driver will be lighter and thinner around the clubhead. The Callaway Diablo Octane Black driver is also stronger than ever before.
Lambo says that its weight-saving development has shed its new Sesto Elemento in the region of 100 kilos.
The name Sesto Elemento, Italian for 'sixth element', was chosen because carbon is the sixth element on the periodic table.
But, for golf lovers unable to get their hands on the new Lamborghini, the Callaway's Diablo Octane Black driver is one way of making use of the new technology and it will be on sale next month.
