Who Is Graeme McDowell's Wife?
Graeme McDowell has won golf tournaments all around the world.
From the Dominican Republic, to France, to the 2010 US Open at Pebble Beach, he won 10 times on the European Tour and has three PGA Tour wins to boot as well. Indeed one of his best years was in 2013 where he won three times, which could have been down to his relationship with Kristin Stape, the woman he married that year.
But who exactly is she? We take a look in the piece below.
Who Is Graeme McDowell's Wife?
In the beginning of their relationship McDowell bought Stape back to his home in Portrush and it quickly became clear his parents Kenny and Marian absolutely adored the American.
The couple married in the Bahamas in 2013 after McDowell proposed in 2012 on top of the seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. McDowell after said: "I did it properly, getting down on one knee.
"She had no idea what was going on and was shocked and stunned. I even found myself getting a little bit emotional."
They have two children together called Vale Esme and Wills Edson, and Stape has another child from a previous relationship.
Stape and McDowell met in 2010 when McDowell was redesigning his home in Lake Nona, Florida. The interior designer hired to do the work was Stape.
She used to have a website called kristinstapedesign.com but it has been inactive for a while now as has her Twitter bio where she defines herself as: "Fashionista for the home, eternal optimist, foodie, sports enthusiast, wannabe MacGyver, and most fun of all... a mother".
Stape is a Florida native but has often put her American allegiance aside for when the Ryder Cup takes place and when McDowell made the team as a player in 2012 and 2014.
