It was a week to forget for Alexander Levy (50/1) backers as his four-shot final-round lead disappeared down the drain along with plenty of punters’ money.

The Frenchman could have shot a 77 and still won, rubbing salt into very bitter wounds. The leaderboard was one of the worst sights we’ve ever woken up to on a Sunday morning. Not the worst though…

The PGA Tour’s annual trip to Malaysia saw Ryan Moore (28/1) retain his CIMB Classic title meaning he has now won as many titles there as he has in America. Can’t imagine he would ever have thought that when he turned pro.

Fifty-year-old Davis Love III overcame the long haul flight and humidity to finish inside the top 10 at 25/1. Things were not as fruitful for Rikard Karlberg – the Swede, who came in at 100/1 for his first round lead, ended up tied 38th.

Now to this week – the European Tour takes a break as the WGC-HSBC Champions takes centre stage. The Sanderson Farms Championship over in America is a very adequate support act. Charl Schwartzel (40/1) and Peter Uihlein (40/1) are leading our attack. The double, out of interest, is 1700/1…
