Hole 4 - Par 4 - 529 yards
Despite being the longest par 4 on the course, it will play shorter due to the downhill tee shot. The tee short has recently been restored to the original angle that was intended by Donald Ross, the golf course designer. In the previous US Opens at Pinehurst, this fourth hole originally played as a par 5. Specific to this hole are the dogleg left tee shot as well as the large green that features a predominant slope from right to left which is unusual for Pinehurst holes.
