Hole 2 – Par 4 – 507 yards

Pinehurst Resort’s second hole played the most difficult in relation to par at the 2005 US Open. As a result of restoration, the width of the drive zone has doubled in size. Given the length of the hole, the approach shot is to a very severe green. It is advisable that players play down the left hand side of the fairway as the hole is located on the right hand side of the green. The front of the green also includes a defined hump that will probably resist approach shots.
