Play Fantasy Golf 2021 - Win Prizes Each Week
If you enjoy playing fantasy games for the Premier League and the NFL, then you can now combine that with your love for golf in 2021 with Zweeler, a Fantasy Sports Games provider.
That rush you feel when Mohamed Salah scores, or Patrick Mahomes throws a touchdown, can now be achieved in golf.
Through Zweeler and the golf games on the site (opens in new tab), there are cash prizes available each week and at the end of the season long game.
You can either play each week on specific golf tournaments, or you can compete in a season-long Fantasy 2021 game where you pick a team of golfers with a budget.
The latter game will cost £6.33 per team and will start with a guaranteed amount of £452.34 in prizes. The first prize will be £88.66.
So how does this season-long game work?
Well, you will have a budget of 340 million euros to buy 22 golfers to fill your team.
Once selected, the season will consist of 49 tournaments on the calendar which will count towards the game - 23 on the PGA Tour, 17 from the European Tour, five World Golf Championships and four Majors of course.
The aim of the game is to pick players that you think will produce the most point for your team.
Points are earned by where players finish in the general classification of every tournament.
Currently, Masters champion and World No.1 Dustin Johnson is the most expensive player in the game at 40 million and he is followed by the usual group of players like Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy.
There are 455 players to choose from at the moment and there is some clear value to be had in the full list (I personally like the look of some players around the 10-15 million mark like Lee Westwood, Joaquin Niemann and Justin Rose).
How do I sign up?
The Fantasy Golf 2021 game starts on Thursday 28 January 2021 at 14:00 (GMT).
So if you are interested in a very fun game that will engross you in the golfing calendar throughout the year, and a game that could win you some money, then register through the Zweeler website (opens in new tab).
There is also a lot more information there on the rules, calendar, prize overview and more.
If you have any questions then please send an email to info@zweeler.com
Happy fantasy golfing!
A golfer for most of his life, Sam started playing the game to prove he was the best player out of his father and two brothers.
He quickly became a golf equipment expert and has always been the one family and friends come to for buying advice, and spends a lot of his time putting golf gear, apparel and shoes to the test.
He is a graduate of Swansea University where he studied History and American Studies, and he has been a part of the Golf Monthly team since February 2018. He also previously worked for World Soccer and Rugby World magazines.
A jack of all trades across print and digital formats, Sam now spends most of his time testing and looking after golf gear content for the website. He also oversees all Tour player content as well.
Unfortunately, Sam is not a member of any club at the moment but regularly gets out on the golf course to keep up the facade of having a handicap of five.
Sam is currently playing:
Driver: Titleist TS3
Fairway Wood: TaylorMade M5 (15 degrees), Nike Covert Tour 2.0 (19 degrees)
Irons (4-PW): Titleist AP2
Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM7 54˚, 58˚
Putter: Scotty Cameron Circa 62 #6
