10 Big Names In Danger Of Missing The FedEx Cup Playoffs
The Wyndham Championship is the final regulation event before the FedEx Cup Playoffs, with some notable players needing big weeks in North Carolina
After a lengthy PGA Tour season, the final regulation event is upon us before the FedEx Cup Playoffs next week.
In total, 70 players will make it to the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where three events will decide the FedEx Cup and Tour Championship winner.
Prior to all of that, though, it's the Wyndham Championship that'll decide on who advances to the Playoffs, with plenty of big players in danger of missing out.
From Major winners to Ryder Cup stars, notable names need strong performances at the final regulation event, which takes place at Sedgefield Country Club.
Cameron Young, who is already comfortably through to the Playoffs, defends his title after a six shot win last year, with plenty of names outside the top 70 teeing it up in North Carolina.

Keegan Bradley - 72nd
The former US Ryder Cup captain finds himself in 72nd place going into the Wyndham Championship, with Bradley needing a strong showing to make the Playoffs.
Claiming no top 10s in 2026, the American's best performance is a T12th at the RBC Heritage. What's more, he hasn't missed a FedEx Cup Playoff since gaining his PGA Tour card in 2011.
Jason Day - 75th
Although he started his season off well with a runner-up finish at The American Express, recent injuries mean Day sits 75th in the FedEx Cup standings going into the final regulation event of the year.
Withdrawing during the first round of the US Open due to injury, the Major winner then withdrew from the 3M Open, as well as the Rocket Classic. He is listed in the Wyndham Championship field, and will hope the injury clears up before teeing off on Thursday.
Brooks Koepka - 86th
Returning to the PGA Tour from the LIV Golf League at the start of the year, Koepka has endured mixed successes since he came back to the circuit.
Producing a best result of T9th at the Cognizant Classic, the five-time Major winner is 86th in the FedEx Cup standings and, although he is scheduled to play the Wyndham Championship, he did withdraw from the Rocket Classic due to personal reasons.
Tony Finau - 89th
Finau only just made it into the FedEx Cup Playoffs last year and, for 2026, he finds himself with an awful lot of work to do as he sits 89th in the standings.
Although he has made 15 of 21 cuts, just one top 10 means the six-time PGA Tour winner is in danger of missing the Playoffs for the first time since earning his playing rights on the PGA Tour.
Lucas Glover - 96th
It's been a mixed year for the former Major winner, as Glover has missed seven cuts but also secured T3rd and T5th finishes throughout 2026.
Because of the missed cuts, Glover is 96th in the standings and needs a strong result at the Wyndham Championship. He does have course form, though, having won to make the Playoffs in 2023.
Rasmus Hojgaard - 103rd
Producing his best finish of the year at last week's Rocket Classic, a solo fourth, Hojgaard has lots of work to do to make the FedEx Cup Playoffs next week.
Sitting 103rd in the standings, the Dane has missed five cuts in 2026 and also missed out on the playoffs last year, finishing 85th after making 15 of 20 cuts.
Michael Brennan - 105th
Like many on this list, Brennan has endured an up-and-down season that includes four top 25s and four missed cuts.
Sitting 105th in the standings, the American does come into the Wyndham Championship with form, finishing T24th and T15th in his last two starts, but he needs a good week to make the Playoffs.
Billy Horschel - 107th
Sitting 107th in the FedEx Cup standings, Horschel is on-course to make it back-to-back missed Playoffs after failing to make them last year.
Producing just one top 10, the eight-time PGA Tour winner has missed 10 cuts throughout the season, including four in his last five starts.
Marco Penge - 109th
Penge secured his PGA Tour card via the DP World Tour and, throughout his rookie season, he has had his ups-and-downs.
Finishing T4th at the Valspar Championship, six missed cuts haven't helped, neither has a viral infection that caused Penge to take a break from golf and miss events like the US Open.
Chris Kirk - 127th
A six-time PGA Tour winner, Kirk finds himself comfortably outside the top 100 of the FedEx Cup standings, having made just 10 cuts in 18 starts.
Finishing T8th at the Rocket Classic in his last start, that's the only top 25 he's had all season, with Kirk needing to, realistically, win the Wyndham Championship to have a chance of making the Playoffs.
