Thursday and Friday pairings

As ever the Thursday and Friday pairings at the Open have produced some fascinating groups. Defending champion Tiger Woods will tee off at 9.09 on Thursday morning alongside former champion Paul Lawrie and Englishman Justin Rose.

US Amateur Champion Richie Ramsay will make his Open debut alongside Irishman Padraig Harrington and American David Toms. Ramsay?s fellow Scotsman Colin Montgomerie is grouped with Stewart Cink and Toshi Izawa.

Golf Monthly?s playing editor David Howell will be amongst the early starters on Thursday. He tees off at 7.36 alongside in-form K.J Choi and South African Richard Sterne. GM blogger Bradley Dredge will play his opening two rounds with crowd favourite John Daly and Australian Robert Allenby.
