Hole 3 – Par 4 – 426 yards
The danger on this 3rd par 4 hole is the out-of-bounds that flanks the entire right hand side. Arguably most competitors will be seen using an iron off the tee to avoid running off the fairway. For this year's Open, the swale on the left hand side of the green has been deepened. There is no other hole on the Royal Liverpool course that has an out of bounds so close to the green.
