Strokes Gained On Your Wrist: Shot Scope Brings 100+ Tour Metrics To Apple Watch
The golf technology company has expanded its feature suite with the addition of the GPS app for Apple Watche, a first in the company's history
Shot Scope produces some of the best golf gadgets money can buy and the company has today evolved it's offering further with the launch of its first ever Apple Watch app.
The convenience the Apple Watch provides is undeniable and users are now able to access a wealth of strategy-enhancing information via the app on the popular smart watch.
This crucial information includes detailed hole and green contour maps, as well as GPS distances and shot tracking.
Like Shot Scope's GPS devices, which include the new H50 GPS, you will find crisp and clear overhead visuals of each hole with hazards and other areas of interest. The watch app also possesses the ability to tap to any point on the hole for specific yardages.
Speaking of yardages, you are able to see the distance to the front and back of every hazard as you face it, as well as to the front, middle, and back of the green - just like what you get on the best golf GPS watches.
This amount of detail carries on to the greens themselves, as Shot Scope's mapping team have been able to include every break, borrow, and undulation on the putting surface.
Shot Scope is always looking for ways to help save your shots on the course and, back in May, it announced the Shot Scope 6 feature.
Subscribe to the Golf Monthly newsletter to stay up to date with all the latest tour news, equipment news, reviews, head-to-heads and buyer’s guides from our team of experienced experts.
By creating this program, it means golfers can track every shot played, giving them access to over 100 tour level statistics.
Among these statistics are Strokes Gained and Handicap Benchmarking on the Shot Scope performance dashboard, meaning you can analyse your post-round figures and seek areas of improvement.
In fact, according to Shot Scope, hundreds of thousands of golfers around the world have saved an average of 4.1 strokes using the brand's technology.
Launching on Apple Watch, Shot Scope users now have the ability to collect data on one platform, as well as deviate between their golf and personal aspects like health, exercise and contacts.
Unlike other brands that charge an ongoing fee, Shot Scope only ask for a one-off payment of £149.99, meaning users have a lifetime subscription to all of the various data points.
"Our philosophy has always been to make game improvement accessible and transparent," explained David Hunter, CEO of Shot Scope.
"Many competitors tie golfers into monthly subscription fees that quickly turn their apps into expensive, long-term commitments.
"By offering lifetime access for a single, one-time payment, we are providing unbeatable value alongside world-class technology."

Taking up the game when he was just seven years of age, Matt made it into his county squad just a year later and continues to play the game at a high standard, with a handicap of around 2-4. To date, his best round is a six-under-par 66 having been seven-under through nine.
