FootJoy continues major domination
Ernie Els won the 141st Open Championship at Royal Lytham and St Annes to secure a third consecutive major victory for Footjoy
FootJoy remained on course for an equipment grand-slam as Ernie Els won the Open Championship at Royal Lytham and St Annes wearing FJ Icons.
Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson also wore the FJ Icons as they recorded their maiden major titles at the Masters and US Open respectively.
Ten players in the top ten and ties at Lytham also competed in FJ golf shoes, including runner-up Adam Scott in performance infused FJ Sport shoes and world number one Luke Donald in FJ Icons.
On the other side of the Atlantic, Scott Stallings recorded victory in FJ Sport shoes and the FJ PureTouch glove at the PGA Tour's True South Classic in Mississippi.
FootJoy also boasted a dominant share of the shoe and glove counts at the Open. More than 50% of the field strode the fairways in FJ shoes, with the nearest competitor accounting for just 17%.
FootJoy also led the glove count with 54 players - 35% of the field - choosing one of FJ's wide array of comfortable, high-performance gloves.
Russell Lawes, FootJoy's European Marketing Manager, said: "To have one product win the first three major championships of the year is an incredible achievement.
