Valspar Championship golf tips
The Valspar Open is the event on the PGA Tour this week, and a strong field is in attendance following the first WGC event of the season last week – where winner Dustin Johnson was picked by the column.
The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club in Palm Harbor course is one of the trickiest on the tour and it usually requires a short game in good nick to keep your score going
John Senden won here last season, when he was blessed with an extremely hot putter.
This season the event is blessed with the likes of Adam Scott, Jordan Spieth, Jim Furk and Henrik Stenson. But they are all short priced and picking the one who might have a winning week is not worth the risk.
The £10 betting challenge with our bloggers DownThe18th continues - results so far are at the bottom of this post, or to read about how we both did last week check out their blog.

Valspar Championship golf tips advised bets
Brandt Snedeker £1.50 each way at 30/1 – Four top 10s plus a victory this season and with a Top 20 last week in the WGC. Has also had two top 10 finishes here in the past. If his usually excellent short game is in good shape he should contend.
Ryan Moore £1.50 each way at 30/1 – A streak player who is currently looking pretty hot. His WGC unraveled after a Sunday 76 but he performance for the week was impressive. Also has a win in the CIMB Classic to his name already for this season.
Padraig Harrington £1 each way at 60/1 – Always known for having a superb short game and must still be on cloud nine following his win a fortnight ago. Didn’t play last week, nice odds for someone who has tasted triumph so recently.
Boo Weekley £1 each way at 80/1 – One of my favourite picks on the PGA Tour. An incredible striker of a golf ball, who is let down by his streaky putting. Finished T6th last week in Puerto Rico and has two other Top 10s this season. At this price get on him.
All odds from Paddy Power. Each way bets - ¼ odds top 6 places.
