USA 2: Patrick Reed - Lost in a play-off at the weekend, but has the character to bounce back. He can't win the Race to Dubai, but may thrive without that added pressure.
Great Britain: Justin Rose - Enjoyed a consistent season. Rose won recently at the Hong Kong Open and was T7 at the BMW Masters.
Ireland: Rory McIlroy - The Northern Irishman hasn't been playing badly, but he will expect more from himself. His experience of being in this sort of scenario could help him get the job done.
Scandinavia: Henrik Stenson - It's been a season of nearly moments for Stenson. He has had four second place finishes this year finished T3 at the weekend. This could be the event that things turn for him.
Rest of Europe: Thomas Pieters - Won back-to-back at the Czech Masters and KLM Open earlier this year. The Belgian finished T13 on Sunday and could be set for another high finish.
Asia: Anirban Lahiri - Has won twice on the European Tour this year and played well at the USPGA Championship. The Indian could sneak under the radar this week to surprise everyone.
Africa: Branden Grace - It's difficult to know how he'll cope with being in with a chance of winning the prize on offer this week. However, he played exceptionally well in two of this year's majors, so he might just have the nerve to get the better of some of his rivals.
Australasia: Marcus Fraser - Played well at the British Masters last month, finishing T5. He also had a respectable T13 at the BMW Masters.
South America: Emiliano Grillo - The Argentine has been solid but not spectacular in the Final Series so far. He won the Fry.com Open on the PGA Tour so confidence shouldn't be an issue.
