Who Is Tommy Fleetwood’s Wife?

Tommy Fleetwood is one of England's finest players, claiming multiple European Tour/DP World Tour titles including the 2017 Race to Dubai. As well as his victories, the Englishman has also come agonizingly close to winning Major titles on a number of occasions.

One of Fleetwood's stand out moments came in the 2018 Ryder Cup, when he produced four points from five matches. That week, he and Francesco Molinari were undefeated as a pair at Le Golf National.

It hasn’t always been easy for Fleetwood, however, at one point he was ranked 188th in the world in 2016, this came after being in the top 50 the previous year. During that period, one thing remained constant, with his wife, Clare, supporting him through the ups-and-downs. Get to know her a bit better here.

Clare has played a huge part in Fleetwood’s life, working as his manager, with Tommy himself crediting her for many of his successes. An example of this was after he won the Open de France in 2017, Fleetwood tweeted "my beautiful, amazing fiancée Clare Craig thank you for everything.”

Before becoming his manager, Clare grew up in Manchester and worked in the sports management business for several years at Hambric Sports Management, where she was vice-president for Europe.

She was also a trustee of the Richard Burns Foundation. The charity was created in honor of British rally driver Richard Burns who passed away due to a brain tumor. Before his death in 2005, Clare had been friends with Burns for several years and even toured with him on rallies as an assistant.

Clare, who has two sons from a previous relationship, also has one with Fleetwood (Franklin Fleetwood) who was born in September 2017. Fleetwood actually pulled out of the British Masters so he could be there for his son’s birth.

The pair then got married shortly after in December in the Bahamas and currently live together in Southport, England, where Fleetwood grew up.

Clare is seen attending many of Fleetwood’s tournaments and was with her husband at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai along with their son Franklin, when Fleetwood claimed the Race to Dubai title.

A funny story involving Clare and Tommy came in 2018 at the Ryder Cup. During the event, the pair of Fleetwood and Molinari claimed four victories from four in the fourballs and foursomes. Due to their success, the pair were dubbed Moliwood, with the bromance going viral.

After Europe claimed victory, a video was released of the pair lying in bed with the Ryder Cup. The now famous video caused a hilarious and worrying reaction from Fleetwood's wife Clare, with her tweeting "Well I actually caught my husband in bed with another man and he wants Italian lessons, our son is also named after him. Do I need to worry?"
