The TaylorMade R9 driver powered Pat Perez to victory at the Bob Hope Classic – the first global tour win for the revolutionary new club.

Perez carded rounds of 61, 63, 67, 67 and 69 to finish on 33-under-par, and his 36-hole score of 20-under-par set a new PGA Tour record.

After the first two days the 32-year-old revealed: “Overall I just I played two of the best days I ever have in a row. So I'm hitting my new TaylorMade R9 driver, I'm killing it.”

The American averaged just under 304 yards off the tee during with the new TaylorMade R9, during round five – driving statistics that helped him to top the putts per greens-in-regulation.

Perez was also using the new TaylorMade Rescue TP – part of TaylorMade’s new range that are due to hit the shops in the coming months.
