Play Your Best Challenge 2012...the lucky 4 are...
Over 2300 golfers requested an application form, but only four could be selected for the Play Your Best Challenge 2012 powered by PING and Golf Monthly
In the April issue of Golf Monthly we invited GM readers to apply to take part in a unique golfing challenge, the Play Your Best Challenge 2012 in association with PING, that would offer four golfers the opportunity to take their game to the next level.
We were looking to find golfers who had never broken 100, 90, 80 or 70 in competitive play. We've now selected players in each of those four categories and with the support from PING these players will be in the best possible situation to achieve those targets with a combination of custom-fitting for the latest PING clubs plus top-quality coaching, sports psychology and fitness advice.
So, here are the winners:
BREAK 100 - PAUL MATTHEWS, a 24-handicapper from Cambridgeshire. Best score in a competitive 18-hole round - 109
BREAK 90 - ROBERT EDWARDS, a 24-handicapper from Yorkshire. Best score in a competitive 18-hole round - 94
BREAK 80 - PETER O'HAGAN, a 17-handicapper from Staffordshire. Best score in a competitive 18-hole round - 86
BREAK 70 - JOHN BOAG, a 9-handicapper from Perthshire. Best score in a competitive 18-hole round - 74
