Wells Fargo Championship Golf Betting Tips

This week the PGA Tour are at Quail Hollow for the Wells Fargo Championship.

This is turning into one of the most popular weeks on tour, with Anthony Kim, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler all registering their first PGA Tour victories here.

It is no walkover with the 17th and 18th holes being the hardest finishing holes on Tour last season.

JB Holmes is defending champion and he has been having a great season, so at 30/1 he is well worth looking up.

One of the reasons for his long odds is that Rory McIlroy is in the field at just 3/1 – and his presence always means for longer odds for the rest of the field. He did win here back in 2010 although there have been changes here ahead of the course hosting the 2017 PGA Championship.

As ever the £10 betting challenge with our bloggers DownThe18th continues – results so far are at the bottom of this post.

Wells Fargo Championship golf betting tips advised bets

Bill Haas £2 each way at 28/1 with Coral – It was a toss up between Haas and Holmes and I have gone for Haas due to his 4th place finish last week and also two top 5 finishes here in the past.

Ryan Moore £1.50 each way at 40/1 with Bet Victor – He has cooled slightly of late, but is still having a very good season and has two top 10s and a top 20 in the last three tournaments here.

Jason Kokrak £1 each way at 66/1 with Betway –  Hits the ball a country mile and has been in good form recently, had a Top 25 finish at Quail Hollow in 2014.

Jonathan Byrd £0.50 each way at 150/1 – My outside bet goes to someone who has played well at the course before and has some decent if unspectacular results on Tour in 2015. If he makes the cut watch out for him.
