Golf Care announces record policy sales
November sees the UK's number one golf insurance provider break record sales with 231% year on year increase
Golf Care, the UK's largest specialist golf insurer, has announced record new policy sales.
Last November Golf Care recorded a 231% year on year increase in the sale of new policies indicating that more golfers are becoming aware of the dangers that exist on the golf course.
The figure represented a record for any single month in the company's history and managing director of Golf Care, John Woosey, said: "We're delighted with the recent figures, which clearly go to demonstrate that golfers in the UK are realising the benefits of having specialist golf insurance, on and off the golf course.
"We live in an increasingly litigious society and responsible golfers are finding that Golf Care policies are cost-effective, starting at just £29.99 per year, and can be tailored to meet individual needs."
Golf Care policies can cover golfers for personal liability of up to £5 million and also offer cover against theft, loss or damage to equipment.
The importance of being covered was recently highlighted when a golfer was awarded £400,000 after losing sight in one eye after being struck by a ball from another hole. The player who struck the ball was deemed 70% liable for the damages.
