Fisher signs contracts with Nike and IMG
After becoming the youngest ever Britain to gain his card at European Tour Qualifying School Oliver Fisher has signed contracts with sports management company IMG and equipment giants Nike.

Following last month?s sensational achievements at Tour School Oliver Fisher has turned professional and signed with club manufacturing giants Nike and the global sports management company IMG. As well as Fisher IMG represent the likes of Sergio Garcia, Colin Montgomery, Retief Goosen and the world number one Tiger Woods.
At 18 years old, and with the world at his feet, Fisher could be described as the Theo Walcott of British Golf. With an impressive record under his belt already, Fisher is arguably one of the best young golfers in the world today.
The youngster from Chigwell, Essex, has already achieved what most young and prosperous golfers can only dream about. In 2004, he represented Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup team and at the age of only 16, Oli became the youngest competitor to represent Great Britain and Ireland in the Walker Cup in 2005. Following that, he reached the last four of both the English and the British Amateur Championships.
?I have used Nike clubs for over three years now so I am delighted to have signed for them so soon after turning professional.? Fisher told Golf Monthly.
He began to make a name for himself after he won his 2nd consecutive Faldo Series Trophy at Celtic Manor setting a new amateur course record of 63. Adding to that, Fisher then went on to win the Daily Telegraph Junior Championship followed by a great display in the Australian MasterCard Masters, a professional event, which saw the talented amateur finish in 13th place.
The beginning of 2006 saw Fisher ranked No1 amateur in the world, an outstanding achievement for someone of only 17 years of age at the time. Oli then went on to become the youngest ever recorded winner of the St Andrews Links Trophy at Old Course at St Andrews with a winning total of 281, 7 under par.
Oliver Fisher, with a scintillating amateur record behind him, will now be looking to mirror his success as a professional. Many believe that he has all the ingredients to become one of the world?s best players.
