The tournament, which starts on October 8th, is a relatively recent concept, with the first edition only being played in 1994.
The United States have won eight of the previous 10 tournaments outright, including the last five. A solitary International team victory came in 1998, when Peter Thomson guided the team to a win against Jack Nicklaus' Americans.
The players will play this year's tournament in Incheon City on a Nicklaus-designed course.
Both teams are made up of 12 players and contest the cup in match play format. Foursomes, fourballs and singles matches make up the four day event, with a total of 34 matches to be played.
To qualify for the United States team, players needed to be in the top 10 of the FedEx Cup points list. The top 10 International players in the Official World Golf Ranking make up the nucleus of the other team, with two Captain's Picks allowed for both sides
Steve Stricker, Davis Love III and Fred Couples will act as assistants to Haas, with Tony Johnstone and Marc McNulty doing the same for Price. K. J. Choi will be vice-captain for the Internationals.
USA Team: Zach Johnson, Patrick Reed, Jordan Spieth, Chris Kirk, Matt Kuchar, Bill Haas, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler, Jimmy Walker and Jim Furyk.
