FootJoy HydroKnit Pullover
The FootJoy HydroKnit is an all-in-one waterproof pullover made from a three-layer bonded knit fabric that is both stretchable and highly breathable.
Editor's Choice 2020
The idea behind the garment is to provide the protection of a waterproof jacket with the feel of a pullover. We think it’s a seriously versatile garment and it’s ideal for those who don’t like having to reach into the bag for the waterproof jacket every time a shower rolls over.
The Hydroknit has a 15,000mm Waterproof (WP) rating, which means if you placed a square tube with inner dimensions of 1” x 1” over a piece of the fabric, you could fill it with water to a height of 15,000 mm (49.2 feet) before water would begin to leak through. So it’s safe to say, it will keep you dry in a deluge.

Water beads away
It also boasts a DWR finish on the surface of the fabric that beads water away, as well as an elastic waistband and adjustable cuffs for a more tailored fit. There’s also an inside pocket for your phone or scorecard and a waterproof chest zipper.
It’s soft and stretchy like you would expect from a modern mid-layer, but it also boasts the protection of a waterproof. It’s a dream combination.
Great freedom of movement
In testing, we loved the snug fit but found there to be basically no restriction to movement meaning you can still swing freely. With sleek but eye-catching styling, this is also a good-looking garment. Accents of colour boost the modern look and there are three colour choices available to match your favourite outfit.
The Hydroknit is ideal for the unpredictable British weather. On a day that could be squally, then this pullover will provide all the protection you need but, if the showers stay away, you’ll be comfortable and unencumbered by a bulky rain jacket.
