The first short hole at Par-3 4th hole at Birkdale is a testing one requiring all players at the Open Championship a well struck long iron shot.
The par 3 fourth, at 199 yards, may only be a 6 iron for the longer hitters but into wind it could yield some high scores.
Three deep bunkers line the left side of the green and a tricky pot bunker is well placed on the right side.
