Wales Ladies clinched their third Home Internationals title in the last six years, as a comfortable 7-2 win over hosts Scotland gave them a clean sweep of victories.

Held at Scotscraig in Fife, Wales opened their tournament with a win over defending champions England.

The winning putt was holed courtesy of Chloe Williams, as she maintained a peerless record of six points out of six. She beat Lauren Whyte 4 and 3.

Wales continued to put points on the board as Katie Bradbury halved with Alyson McKechin and Katherine O'Connor defeated Connie Jaffrey.

Becky Harries completed proceedings with a half against Hannah McCook. Heather Monroe claimed Scotland's sole victory, beating Samantha Birks.

"We were so close last year, just missing out to England despite not losing a match. We really wanted it this year," she said.

"We were the best prepared team here and the girls all did really well. Coach Jeremy Bennett played a big part in that. His contribution was huge."

Golf Union of Wales director of performance, Ben Waterhouse, added: "This was the most complete team performance in my time with Union.
