Manassero signs with Polo Ralph Lauren
Matteo Manassero of Italy has signed a multi-year contract with Polo Ralph Lauren to represent its RLX Golf collection
Matteo Manassero of Italy has signed a multi-year contract with Polo Ralph Lauren to represent its RLX Golf collection.
The agreement sees the 17-year-old acting as an ambassador for Polo Ralph Lauren, wearing clothing from the RLX Golf collection and appearing in numerous advertising and marketing campaigns.
David Lauren, Senior Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications of Ralph Lauren, said: "Matteo is quickly making a footprint in the game of golf on a global level - he is an incredibly talented golfer and his youthfulness and great style resonate with the RLX brand."
Manassero has recently turned professional, making his debut at the Italian Open. He had a glittering amateur career where, most recently, he became the youngest player ever to compete in and make the cut at The Masters. The Italian also became the youngest winner of the Amateur Championship, which earned him a place in the 2009 Open Championship at Turnberry where he tied for 13th.
"I am proud to have been chosen to represent RLX Golf," said Manassero. "I have always loved the brand and I feel that the apparel will lend me the comfort and technical edge that I need to perform my best on the course."
RLX Golf sponsors players such as Tom Watson, Davis Love III and Luke Donald. Their collection merges the best fabrics and signature design elements to create cutting-edge performance golf gear.
