The first women's Major of the year takes place in Texas, The Chevron Championship. After being played at Mission Hills in California since the tournament’s inception in 1972, this year it moves to Texas and the The Club at Carlton Woods in Houston. That means the much-loved tradition of players jumping into Poppie's Pond at the end of the tournament is no more.

One aspect that will be familiar is the quality of the field, with most of the world's top 50 in action this week. Defending champion is Jennifer Kupcho is looking to win her second Major title and there are a whole host of stars trying to deny her of that, such as Nelly and Jessica Korda, world number one Lydia Ko and Jin Young Ko.
