This December, TPC Sawgrass will host the inaugural Simpson Cup, a tournament organised by the On Course Foundation, an initiative designed to help injured servicemen through golf and jobs within the industry.
The Ryder Cup-style event will see 12 injured servicemen from the UK taking on their American counterparts over two days.
The first day will be played in a four-ball better-ball format over the Dyes Valley Course, with the final day left for 12 singles matches on The Players Stadium Course.
On Course was founded by ex-player manager John Simpson - who handled the careers of Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer and Greg Norman, amongst others - before setting up the foundation.
"The match and the events leading up to it are key aspects of the On Course Foundation's programme, which builds confidence in the wounded Service Personnel as they face new challenges in their lives. Most importantly we aim to give these heroes opportunities for the future via work experience and employment opportunities in the golf industry," said Simpson.
"The Simpson Cup gives these determined and focused men and women something to work towards - a real target."
General Manager of TPC Sawgrass, Bill Hughes, added: "We are looking forward to hosting members of the On Course Foundation for the Simpson Cup in December.

"When John first brought the concept to us, we were intrigued with the idea of hosting a competition for current and ex-Servicemen and women from both sides of the Atlantic."
The Simpson Cup will be held from 2-5 December at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Verdra Beach, Florida, USA.
