In the event of a play-off at the Open Championship 2013, the play-off will take place over four holes:
The 1st, the 16th, the 17th and the 18th.
After these four holes have been played, the winner will be the player who returns the lowest score.
If there is a tie between any players after the 4-hole play-off, there will be a sudden death on the 18th hole until there is a winner.
