Golf tip 1. Scarf drill
Setting the right ball position for each shot is essential. But as you move it forward in your stance for the driver and back to hit a punch with an iron, it can be easy to lose your focus on where a central ball position for a normal iron shot should be. To help, simply tie a scarf around your neck and take your stance. Where it hangs down marks the centre of your stance.
At address your hands should touch the bottom of the scarf. This is also an excellent guide as to how far you should be standing from the ball at address. Any further or nearer than this, and you risk making consistently poor strikes.
