A hotel located on the finest stretch of championship game courses in the world is now offering golfers the chance to experience a golfing getaway with a twist.

Southport’s hottest new hotel, The Vincent, has announced its contemporary golf packages for 2009, which includes luxury treatments, access to its exclusive members’ bar and the chance to use its in-house £45,000 golf simulator.

The simulator allows guests to “play” and practice their swing on any one of fifty leading golf courses around the world.

Once you’re ready to put your skills into action, guests can play any of twenty leading courses – including “The Three Royals”- Birkdale, Liverpool and Lytham, all of which are British Open Venues between 2006 and 2012.

Set in the heart of the English golf coast, the Vincent is the ideal base for any golfing enthusiast looking for a trip with a difference.

The host of the 2008 British Open, Royal Birkdale, is just a stone throw away from the hotel and easy access to the course is offered via executive transport.

The Vincent also offers the ultimate in after golf indulgence. Guests are invited to relax at the ubercool Tony McGee lounge – the affluent members’ only bar named after the internationally-acclaimed fashion photographer.

Alternatively they can unwind by treating themselves to the Vincent’s soothing treatment the “Golfers Tonic” at the V-Spa, which includes blissful natural exfoliation with a sea salt and seaweed rub and an intense deep massage with anti-stress oils.

Additional touches to glam up your golfing getaway include golfers cocktails created by World Bartender of the Year for 2008, Tony Adams; exclusive access to the hotel’s golf drying room and a special ‘Golf Widows’ or ‘Golf Widowers’ package which helps ensure even those who don’t want to engage in the game will have a break to remember.

Hotel Owner, Paul Adams, said: “Not only do we offer world class courses on our doorstep, but our facilities provide golfers with everything they could want to glam up their golfing getaway.

“During the Open we had high profile guests from all over the world staying with us and with the feedback we received from our visitors I am confident they will be staying with us again.”

The Vincent Hotel, which opened in June this year, was quoted in Esquire magazine’s top 100 style guide and named by The Times as one of the world’s 20 Hot Hotels for 2008.

It is a regular haunt of the region’s rich and famous, including Steven Gerrard, Alex Curran, Alan Hansen and Kenny Dalglish.

During the Golf Open Phil Mickelson enjoyed a luxury stay at the Vincent, while other golf celebrities including Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Nick Faldo and Greg Norman were spotted at the hotel.

Prices for the golf packages available at The Vincent range from £495 per person for the Weekender or Midweeker to £1,475 for a week experiencing the Ultimate Golf Challenge.
